- We will continue to have a supply of masks and hand sanitizer available for guests who wish to use them. We are continuing with advanced cleaning and other precautionary measures. We will update our COVID-19 guidance as the situation continues to evolve.
- Although there has been great progress, the COVID-19 situation is still with us to some extent. Garden Gables Inn has implemented a Guest Waiver that we ask you to review and sign prior to check in. Please click this link Guest Waiver to access the waiver. If you have any difficulty accessing the waiver, or are unable to print and sign prior to your arrival, our innkeeper will assist you at check in.
We make every effort to keep our website current, but please be aware that information is subject to change. Online reservation confirmations may be subject to rate verification and possible modification or cancellation by The Garden Gables Inn. Our goal at the Garden Gables Inn is to provide a high level of service and comfort for our guests throughout the entire process of exploring, reserving and enjoying your stay at the Inn. For that reason we have established the following policies, which hopefully will answer your questions about your upcoming stay. Please contact us and let us know about any questions you may have.
We maintain a smoke-free policy for the comfort of all guests**.
The Inn welcomes children who are 13 and older.
We regret we are not able to accommodate pets with the exception of service dogs.
Normal check-in is from 3pm-8pm. Check-out time is 11 AM. We will do our best to accommodate a request for early check-in/late check-out, but cannot guarantee this option will be available, especially during the summer season.
A full country breakfast is included. Seating, at your convenience, is from 7:30–9:45 AM. Should you have special dietary needs, we will do our best to accommodate them if we are notified in advance of your stay. Should you need an earlier or later breakfast service, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. You may invite others not staying at the Inn to join you for breakfast, space permitting. There will be a charge of $30 per person. Please check with the Innkeeper to make a reservation and confirm that space is available.
Minimum stay requirements—We generally have a 2-night minimum stay required. This will be specified at the time of booking.
Official rates are published on our website, which may vary from time-to-time based on pricing policies in effect at the time of viewing. The proper rate for your reservation is the rate quoted on your confirmation. If you are booking a stay using a published "3rd night free" special offer—the free night will be the lowest priced of the three night stay; the discount for this package will be 33% if all three nights have the same rate, otherwise it will be lower discount, reflecting the price difference.
Complimentary offerings at Hilltop Orchards JMASH Cidery and Furnace Brook Winery are available during appropriate seasons. Guests will be provided with a complimentary bag to pick-your-own apples in the orchard during apple-picking season. Cider and wine-tasting is available for those 21 years of age and over. Use of hiking and cross-country snowshoe trails subject to signing use waiver, available at the Orchard. Rental of equipment is available, but not included. Call the Inn for further details and availability.
Complimentary wifi/internet service— basic wifi/internet access is provided throughout the property. Due to inconsistencies in our wifi service provider we cannot guarantee the bandwidth/fidelity required for high-definition or streaming applications, such as video calls and movies, will always be available. Our Innkeeper can assist you should you need to schedule an important video call.
Pool - Our outdoor, heated pool is available daily, from 7 AM - 9 PM, from approximately early June through Labor Day, subject to weather conditions. Please call the Inn to confirm that the pool is open if you are staying near these opening/closing dates. Use of the pool is strictly at your own risk - no lifeguard is on duty. Parents are solely responsible for ensuring the safe conduct and use of the pool by their children.
Occupancy - All rates are for up to 2 persons, except Room 12, which is automatically quoted for the number of occupants specified, from 2-6. Smaller rooms cannot accommodate a cot, so please check with our innkeeper to ensure your room can accommodate an additional person. For rooms where an additional person can be accommodated, there is a charge of $60 per night per person.
Taxes, Gratuities, Resort Charge—Published rates and service prices do not include taxes (11.7% State and Local Room Tax will be added to your room bill) or gratuities. For group reservations of 5 or more rooms, a 10% service fee will be added. A fixed gratuity may be added to your bill, for pre-arranged events, meals and/or other services; if so, you will be notified at the time of reservation. There is no resort charge.
Payment—Prepayment at the time of reservation is required: 50% of the total room charge. Balance of payment is due at check-out.
Rescheduling of Reservations—We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling of spa/lodging reservations. When received within the cancellation window, in the event that your reservation cannot be rescheduled, you will be responsible for the cancellation penalty, as outlined below.
For individual reservations through June 15 and after September 5 -there is no cancellation fee if reservation is cancelled 24 hours or more prior to check-in. If the reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to check-in time, the cancellation fee is one night's room charge.
- Reservations may be cancelled with no penalty up to 1 week prior to check-in.
- For reservations cancelled with one week or less notice, there will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the total reservation and we will issue you a gift certificate for the other 50% of the total reservation. The gift certificate will be valid for 2 years.
Cancellation of Spa Services—You will be charged in full for any reservation cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
Cancellations for Group Reservations and Special Events—Will be according to the terms agreed for the individual event, and supersede the individual cancellation policies noted below.
Refunds - we will provide a prompt refund of any payments due for cancelled or changed reservations, consistent with our cancellation and other policies. Normally the refund will be processed to the credit card with which the charge was made. If the prepayment by credit card is more than 120 days prior to the refund date, we will refund via check or other financial transaction of your choice, as we are not allowed by our credit card processor to refund transactions older than 120 days.
Damages—Guests who smoke in their room will be assessed a $1000 cleaning charge. Guests who damage Inn property beyond normal wear-and-tear will be charged the full cost to reestore/replace these damages. This will include unremovable staining of fabrics and furnishings.
* Smoke Free Policy - The majority of our guests favor a smoke free environment. The only way to provide this experience is to not allow smoking within the building, dining patio and pool deck area. This smoke-free policy applies to smoking and vaping of tobacco or any other substance. We do provide for outside smoking areas to accommodate the needs of guests who smoke. Please inquire at Reception for further information.
