The Arcadian Shop in Lenox is a sports enthusiast's dream. All types of equipment from camping and footwear to climbing gear is sold. Bikes, ski equipment (downhill, cross country, snowshoe) and kayaks are available for rental.
Enjoy a day of excellent bass fishing on a private 125-acre lake (no houses, no jet skis). The 16ft long bass boats can hold 3 adults comfortably and are fully equipped. Guides, classes, clubhouse available. By appointment only.
Enjoy horseback riding with an expert guide. Explore nearby Kennedy Park and Lenox Mountain with awesome views of the Berkshire and neighboring hills. The stables are right here in Lenox and they offer everything from one-hour rides to overnight camping experiences.
This exciting aerial forest adventure provides a variety of courses that are fun for all ability levels. Participants are fitted with harnesses, led through a safety and park usage demonstration and then are free to navigate their chosen treetop courses. There are over 20 zip lines and 115+ platforms on eight different courses.
Renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, Cranwell’s championship course combines spectacular views with challenging golf and is open to the public. This magnificent course built by Wayne Styles and John Van Kleek in 1926 on the site of the original Berkshire Hunt Club. There is also a driving range and putting greens. This North Adams shop, in business since 1978, rents canoes, kayaks and bicycles. They also sell inline skates, hiking gear and all types of skiing equipment. They have one of the largest selections of cross country gear in the region.
Holly Brouker, a local sports educator accomplished in many sports, is available to hire for guided hikes, biking; cross country skiing/snowshoeing. She leads hikes each Saturday at 9am and 1:30pm at Hilltop Orchards in Richmond (with advance reservation) and on other days by appointment. Aerial Adventure Park is an aerial forest ropes course consisting of 5 individual, elevated courses for different ability levels consisting of 70 elements that will challenge you to new heights! Each course varies in terms of elevation and the strenuousness of the challenges. Elements include rope bridges, ladders, cargo nets, zip lines and more.
Plaine's in Pittsfield has a great selection of bikes and accessories plus skis and snowboards in season. Ski rentals are available.
