The images in our room photos will be different to the furnishings during your stay, as we have temporarily modified bedding and removed some other items in our guest rooms to facilitate sanitized cleaning. Our new bedding includes encasements for all mattresses and pillows; CleanRest patented MicronOne® fabrics used in pillow encasements, mattress encasements, and mattress protectors achieved U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) highest classification of barrier performance (Level 4). We have added an additional layer of covers for mattresses and pillows, underneath the sheets and pillowcases, which will be completely laundered between guest stays. We have also installed individual HEPA UV-C filtration units in each guest room, which you can operate at your option. All applicable government guidelines and industry best practice "Safe Stay" protocols will be followed in housekeeping, to prepare your room for your stay. This includes a minimum 24-hour interval between guests.
Located on the second floor of the historic Butternut Cottage (cc1780), this charming, traditionally decorated room offers a king bed and small sitting area. The room is highlighted by the original "eyebrow" ceiling design.
The beds feature 540-count linens and 700-fill down comforters. The working corner fireplace and original eyebrow raised ceilings are the focal points of this room, which was the bedroom of Miss Carey—the original creator of the estate that has become the Garden Gables Inn.
A small private bathroom with tub/shower, LCD TV with DVD/CD player, iPod clock radio, air conditioning make your room complete.
Please note: This room is on the second floor. There is a wide staircase with secure railings, but no elevator. We provide staff assistance, as needed, to transport luggage or other items to and from the second floor.
