Welcome to The Garden Gables Inn…
Below you will find an alphabetical listing of the services and amenities we offer. Please consult us if there is
anything we can do to make your stay with us more enjoyable.

Although the Inn does not have a Business Center, we will do our best to accommodate any business services that you may need
during your stay, such as faxes or receipt of mail. Please contact the Inn Manager to make arrangements.
Check-in is from 2pm to 8pm. Please notify us if you plan to arrive after 8pm so special arrangements can be made to welcome
you.
Check-out time is by 11am. We will do our best to accommodate a request for a late check-out but cannot guarantee this option
will be available, especially during the summer season.
Children age 12 and older are welcome.
Concierge Services
To help make your stay easy and enjoyable, we provide several complimentary concierge services:
Ticket and Restaurant Reservations: We would be delighted to make suggestions and assist you in booking tickets and
restaurant reservations.
Activities and Local Attractions: Our Inn Staff is knowledgeable about things to do here in the Berkshires. Please do not
hesitate to ask for ideas. We can also assist you in finding a local store where you can rent or purchase sports or other
equipment.
Dining
The Inn’s dining room and adjoining wraparound porch provide a tranquil setting for your dining pleasure.
Breakfast – Our complimentary full country breakfast is served each morning from 7:30 through 9:45 (coffee and tea are available
earlier at 7:00am). Upon arrival in the dining room, our wait staff will welcome you with a flavorful cup of coffee from the local
Barrington Coffee Roasters then take your breakfast order to our chef who will prepare your choice of Berkshire farm fresh eggs
cooked to order; our signature French Toast; Belgium Waffles or Four Cheese Omelet. You will find a bountiful buffet of fresh and
dried fruit, granola, yogurt, cereals, cream cheese, sausage and bacon plus fresh breads and pastries.
Lunch, Picnics - Take out picnics are offered during the summer season, and include everything you need for an unforgettable al
fresco dining experience. Picnic menus are available on our web site and in the in-room folder. Please make your picnic
reservation 24 hours in advance, by contacting the front desk. Or a more modest selection of freshly-prepared lunch sandwiches
can be reserved at breakfast for the same day.
Sherry - Guests are invited to the Sherry Room each day about 4pm for a complimentary aperitif and occasional tasting of our
award-winning Furnace Brook Winery varietals. This is an opportune time to mingle with other guests or to just relax and unwind.
Dinner on the Town - Lenox and the surrounding Berkshire towns offer a multitude of casual and fine dining options. For your
convenience we have collected many of the current restaurant menus in a book located in our Guest Pantry. We are happy to
assist you with recommendations and reservations.
Dinner at the Inn – Our chef is preparing private dinners Wednesday through Sunday during the summer season (please check
with the Inn Manager for availability at other times). The menu features fresh, seasonal appetizers, entrees and desserts. These
will be offered exclusively for our guests and served in the Dining Room from 5:30 – 8:00pm. Menus are provided in this folder or
at the front desk. Please notify us no later than 12 noon if you would like to reserve dinner for the same evening. We recommend
you make reservations upon arrival for any night you wish to dine-in. If space is available we will be pleased to extend our dinner
service so that you can invite friends and family who are not staying at the Inn.
Special Diets - we will do our best to accommodate special dietary requirements when notified in advance.
Room Service – available in some rooms by special arrangement. Please contact the Inn Manager.
Fireplaces
Many rooms have fireplaces. Please follow the directions for the use of the fireplace in your room. Do not attempt to remove the
fire log once it has been lit. Housekeeping will clean and restock the fire log daily.
We have a selection of our own award winning Furnace Brook wines and etched wine glasses for sale, these are displayed in the
foyer. We invite you to visit our farm winery – a picturesque drive less than 10 miles from the Inn.
Garden Gables spa robes and other logo items are also available for purchase. Contact the front desk. We sell Hilltop Orchards
preserves (in the foyer) and our famous chocolate chip cookies (please give us 24-hour advance notice if you would like to order
cookies to take on your trip home or to ship to family or friends).
The Berkshire region is brimming with creativity. We support local artists whose work you will see displayed throughout the first
floor of the Inn. Please inquire at the front desk if there is anything you would like to purchase.
Gratuities
Guests sometimes have questions about how to handle gratuities during their stay at the Inn. It is not customary to provide a
gratuity at the time of service, with the exception of spa, wellness and dinner services. Should you wish to leave a gratuity for any
of our staff, we have provided envelopes for your convenience in the guest information folder or you may have it added to your bill.
Each room is stocked with a complimentary bottle of San Pellegrino water. Downstairs in the Guest Pantry, adjacent to the Dining
Room, you can help yourself to complimentary fresh baked cookies, fruit and apples in season. Quench your thirst during the day
with iced lemon water, fresh pressed apple cider and all natural lemonade (the later two produced at Hilltop Orchards). Coffee and
tea are also available throughout the day. Small amounts of food can be stored during your stay in the Guest Pantry refrigerator
Please remember to remove or discard your food upon check-out.
During your stay your bed will be made, room freshened and towels changed daily. Bed linens are changed every third day.
Should you require any additional house-keeping services during your stay, please contact the Inn Manager.
Green Option: A card is provided to instruct housekeeping on your preference for changing the bed linens and towels. Please
leave towels on the bathroom floor if you would like them changed. If you choose to use towels for another day, then please hang
them up.
Free, wireless Internet access is available at most locations throughout the Inn and grounds.
Each guest room offers these amenities for use during your stay:

An iPod® stereo docking station is available upon request. There are several DVD rental shops in Lenox. The Inn also maintains
a small selection of DVDs and CDs for guest use
Irons and ironing boards are available upon request as well as toiletries you may have forgotten. Please let us know if we can help
you in any way.
The Inn receives several shared guest copies of USA Today, The New York Times, The Boston Globe and The Wall St. Journal
daily. These are available each morning in the Dining Room. If you wish to purchase your own copy, please contact the front desk.
Keys
We will provide you with one key per room and an additional key upon request. Please bring the key(s) to the front desk upon
check-out. There will be a $5.00 fee for lost / unreturned keys.
Lost and Found
Should we find one of your belongings, we will do our best to notify you and make arrangements to ship the item to you. However,
we cannot be responsible for misplaced guest belongings.
Outdoor Activities
The Berkshire region beckons with trails to hike, lakes to fish, roads to travel and beautiful sights to see. Our web site has links to
many of these attractions and activities or feel free to consult with us if you need help planning your activity. Our own Hilltop
Orchards farm in nearby Richmond is the perfect place to really “see the Berkshires” – the views from the top of our orchard are
stunning. Guests of the Inn are invited to hike on our property at no charge. Consider hiring our expert guide, Holly Brouker, to take
you on a hike of one of our pristine back country trails. She has hikes leaving each Saturday at 9am (returning at 12:30) and at
1:30pm (returning at 3:30). More details are on the Outdoor Activities page of www.hilltoporchards.com or contact Holly directly at

One parking space is provided for each guest room. Please let us know if you require more than one parking space at the time of
reservation or arrival so we can assist you in making other arrangements.
Pets
We regret that we are not able to accommodate pets with the exception of service dogs.

Local phone calls (not requiring “1”) are free of charge. Please be advised that we do not have access to discounted long
distance rates in guest rooms and the charge is approximately $.75 per minute. We recommend that you use a long distance
calling card with an 800# or cell phone to avoid extra charges being added to your bill. International calls cannot be made from the
guest room phones.
Messages: Your phone has a light that will indicate messages, just press the button and follow instructions to retrieve.
Pool
Our pool is open from early June through late September and hours are from sun-up to sun-down. Please be advised that there is
no lifeguard on duty and guests swim at their own risk. Towels and chaise lounges are provided at poolside for your convenience.
Plastic cups are available in the Guest Pantry as glassware is prohibited at the pool.
Quiet Time
The Inn maintains a 10pm - 7am quiet time policy designed to ensure a restful environment for you and your fellow guests.
We have provided separate containers in each room to collect recyclables, including glass, plastic, paper products and there is a
basket in the dining room for newspapers.
Jess, our licensed massage therapist will pamper you in the privacy of our dedicated spa treatment room. It is recommended that
you request your spa appointment well in advance -- we will do our best to work within your schedule. Summer hours are M-F 9am-
3pm, Sat. 9am-4pm and Sun. 9am-2pm. Hours in the off-season are upon request. A full list of spa services is available on our
web site and in the guest folder or contact Jess at jstjohnlmt@berkshire.rr.com .
The Inn is a 100% non-smoking environment, and we request that guests honor this policy for the comfort of all. A $250 cleaning
charge will be applied to your bill if smoking should occur in any room.
Special Events
The Inn is available to host special events from time-to-time outside the busy summer season. We would be pleased to consult
with you about scheduling a special event at the Inn.
Temperature Control
Cool: The thermostat controls for the air conditioning vary in each room. If it is not clear how to control the temperature in your
room, please contact the front desk for assistance.
Temperature Control
Heat: Rooms in the main house are heated using radiators and baseboard units, which can be adjusted to control the
temperature. Please do not adjust the thermostat to control the heat; this is for the air conditioning only. The Orchard Cottage
rooms share the same controls for air conditioning and heat.
Wake Up Call
Please contact the Inn Manager should you require a wake-up call.
